Who we are

About Reynolds Psych NP

Reynolds Psych NP was founded by a dedicated psychiatric nurse practitioner with over 20 years of healthcare experience and a commitment to providing personalized, patient-centered psychiatric care. From the beginning, the goal has been to deliver thoughtful, holistic treatment that places each individual at the center of the care process.

The practice initially began by offering telehealth services from a home office in Wisconsin, providing psychiatric evaluations, medication management, individual psychotherapy, and FMLA/disability evaluations. As the practice grew, it quickly developed a strong patient base built on trust, clinical expertise, and a collaborative approach to care.

Reynolds Psych NP continues to expand its services, with plans to grow outpatient offerings across Wisconsin to increase access to high-quality psychiatric care. While still in the early stages of growth, the vision remains clear: to deliver accessible, high-quality psychiatric care that empowers individuals to achieve stability, growth, and lasting well-being.

About Me

Brian J. Reynolds

Owner and Manager

Hi, I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) based in Wisconsin with over five years of experience. I provide compassionate, comprehensive psychiatric care for children (ages 6+), adolescents, and adults.

I specialize in treating ADHD, anxiety, mood disorders, bipolar disorder, PTSD, panic disorder, and insomnia, with particular experience in managing complex and co-occurring psychiatric conditions. My focus is on helping individuals who feel overwhelmed, mentally exhausted, or struggling to function at their best in daily life.
My approach is holistic and integrates medication management, psychotherapy, and psychoeducation, with an emphasis on the role of lifestyle factors in achieving and maintaining optimal mental health. I routinely incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), an evidence-based treatment, to help patients develop practical, skills-based strategies for lasting improvement.

I prioritize building strong rapport with each individual and take pride in developing personalized, evidence-based treatment plans that address both immediate concerns and long-term goals. My approach is collaborative and patient-centered, and I work best with individuals who are engaged in their care and open to making meaningful, lasting changes.

During our initial session, you will have the opportunity to share your story, your goals, and what matters most to you. Together, we will develop a tailored treatment plan, with follow-up appointments typically scheduled within 2–4 weeks to monitor progress and make thoughtful adjustments to optimize your care.

I provide individual psychotherapy for adolescents and adults using CBT and related evidence-based approaches. Treatment is focused on developing practical skills to manage symptoms such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood instability, and stress-related concerns.

At this time, I focus exclusively on individual therapy and do not offer couples or family therapy. My practice is best suited for individuals seeking structured, goal-oriented, one-on-one treatment.

I strive to create an inclusive, respectful, and nonjudgmental environment. I have experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including transgender individuals, men and women across the lifespan, and individuals living with HIV. My goal is for each patient to feel heard, respected, and supported in a way that aligns with their identity and lived experience.

Patients who tend to benefit most from working with me are those who are open to a collaborative approach, willing to actively participate in treatment, and interested in clear guidance, education, and practical tools. I provide a direct, honest, and supportive style of care with a focus on structured, goal-oriented treatment using CBT and/or medication management.

My goal is to create a professional and supportive space where patients feel comfortable discussing concerns while also being supported and guided toward meaningful, lasting changes that promote long-term stability and growth.

I accept most major private insurance plans, including UnitedHealthcare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, and Cigna. Private pay options are also available.
